Fun in Nashville

We are only 3 1/2 hours from Nashville, so we drove down last weekend and my mom flew there for her fall break and met us. We had such a great time!!! We went to the Grand Ole' Opry and saw Trisha Yearwood and Leann Rimes. We bought Parker his first pair of Wranglers and boots (which he wore to the Opry, of course!); we ate lunch at the Wildhorse Saloon and got to see the famous "Tootsies" bar where many stars are discovered; and we got to see the homes of Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Leann Rimes, Trace Adkins, and several more. Unfortunately we didn't see any stars in person, but we sure were on the lookout for them! Here are some pics of our trip. I tried to get a shot with Parker in his boots, but I just got his Wranglers instead.

Boyd's Orchard

On Saturday, we went to Boyd's Orchard with our neighbors across the street who have a little boy named Alexander. Parker loved it! They had a playground with a big slide that he went down by himself and they also had a petting zoo...we couldn't get him out of there!! It was a really neat place and the weather was beautiful.

I have started watching a little boy named Maddox Monday through Wednesday. He is one month younger than Parker, so Parker likes having another playmate around (although he is still getting used to the fact that he doesn't have mom's undivided attention all day long now!). We're off to the races!

All of us went to our first horse race today at Keeneland Race Track in Lexington. It was a beautiful day for it and we got to see two races before Parker tired out. The horses run the month of October and the month of April. We went on opening day and it was packed with people. We had a lot of fun and Parker loved watching the horses and the people!
