Many Changes!!!

Okay, it's been forever since I've updated this page, but again, there has been a lot going on lately!

THE MOVE

First things first...we successfully moved to Oklahoma at the beginning of July. We haven't sold our house in KY yet, so we decided to move into a house my dad owns in Cushing. Needless to say, it needed A LOT of work. We painted every room and ripped up carpet and made repairs and in the middle of it all, Shane had to have an emergency appendectomy!!! That was about 5 weeks ago, and he is doing much better now. Despite all of the chaos, we are so excited to be back in Oklahoma around our family. Once our house sells, we plan on moving to Stillwater, but we don't exactly know when that will be. Here is our new information: 421 E. Broadway, Cushing, OK 74023. We still have the same cell numbers.

THE BABY

We found out we will be having a little girl in late October! Ella Elizabeth Robinson is due on the 26th. She is named after both of her great great grandmothers. We have been busy working on nursery stuff and of course, buying lots of cute clothes!! Parker isn't quite sure what to think of the baby in mom's belly. I'm sure he will be in for a quite a shock once he isn't the center of attention anymore!!

THE 2 1/2 YEAR OLD

It was a big adjustment for Parker to move, and he kept asking us when he could go back to Parker's house, but he seems to be finally settling into his new life here. Of course, he loves being around his grandparents and aunt and uncles. He will be turning 3 in November and hopefully coming out of the terrible two's!!!! I have enrolled him in a mother's morning out program in Stillwater on Tues and Thurs mornings, and I think he is looking forward to playing with some other kids his age.

We miss those of you who we don't see very often and hope everyone is doing well. We are thankful for the blessings God has given us in all of our friends around the United States! I will try to keep this updated from time to time, but once the baby comes, I don't know how good I'll be!

I Know it's Been Forever!!!

Ok, I know it's been forever since I have updated our page, but in my defense, things have been pretty hectic lately! (Not naming any names or anything, but you curly haired blonde in South Dakota should be happy now :) As you know by now, Shane accepted the position at OSU in early March, and we couldn't be happier about moving back home. Being closer to our family has always been our goal, and we're so happy Parker will get to see his grandparents and aunts and uncles much more often now. Here is a picture of Parker and Shane the day we found out Shane had gotten the job.

Also, as you all know, we found out in February that Parker is going to have a little brother or sister in October. We have also been extremely excited about our upcoming arrival; although, I haven't felt the greatest over the past several months. Shane has had to pick up the slack around the house and with Parker, and he has been a great husband and dad! We feel like God has answered so many prayers, and we are so thankful for everything he has blessed us with.

We also had a visit from our friends in Columbia in March. Drew, Heather, and Olivia are planning on moving to Lexington in June, just as we're leaving :( We wish we could have been here at the same time, but it's been nice having them out here a few times as they have looked for housing. Here is a pic of Parker and Olivia together. They are so cute!!

We made a trip to Oklahoma over Easter which was fun but very tiring...I'm still trying to recover from it! We spent Easter in Hollis and Parker got to color Easter eggs with Grandma Judy...he had so much fun! He also went on an Easter egg hunt at Great Grandma Sue's house and was so excited to find all of the eggs.

On our way back to Cushing we met up with some of our friends who live in the OKC area and ate dinner. It was so much fun seeing everyone and knowing that we will be getting to spend more time with them and their kids. The kids had a great time playing with each other, althought the girls outnumbered the boys!

Over all, it has been extremely busy for us, and it doesn't look like it will be slowing down anytime soon! We are planning another trip back to Oklahoma in May to look for housing. We are praying that we will be able to sell our house soon! I hope all of you are doing well! :)

Fun in the Snow

A few weeks ago, Shane came home from work early to play in the snow with Parker. It was our first snow of the year that actually stuck a little. They had a blast, and Parker didn't want to come in. We have a little bit of a hill in our backyard, and they ended up sliding down it. Shane tried to teach Parker how to do the "baseball" slide, but he hasn't quite caught on yet! Needless to say, the snow is STILL here, and being the warm weather girl I am, I am ready for it to leave!!!!!

Surprise in Sioux Falls

A few weeks ago, we flew to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to make a surprise visit to our friends, Tom, Robin, and Carson. The only person who knew we were coming was Robin's mom. After a delayed flight, Shane accidentally locking Parker in the rental car, and Shane having to pull over several times for me to throw up on the side of the road (I contracted that nasty virus that's been going around), we finally made it to Sioux Falls. The look on Robin's face when she opened the door made our trip well worth it. Tom came home a little later, and he looked like he had just seen three ghosts!! They had surprised me for my birthday earlier in the summer, so we had to repay the surprise. I think we were a little crazy to do it in the middle of January (the temperature got down to -0.4), but we had a great time and Parker and Carson played just like old times. They giggled the whole time we were there. Here are a few pics from our visit.

Just like Daddy

Parker and Daddy have been having a lot of fun playing lately. Dad now gives him his haircuts and Parker sits perfectly still for him. Shane does a pretty good job too! Parker also likes putting on daddy's shoes, especially his cowboy boots. Here are a few pics.

Home for the Holidays!!!

Shane, Parker, and I decided to drive to Oklahoma for Christmas. Needless to say, the entire way there, I kept saying, "Why did we decide to drive???" After 18 hours and 3 days on the road, we finally made it to Hollis! Thank goodness our friends, Drew and Heather, let us stay at their house in between our trips. We had a great time visiting family and friends the two weeks we were there. Of course, Parker got many things for Christmas, and Shane and I didn't do too badly ourselves!! Here are few pics of our stay. Parker and MiMi made Christmas cookies which was the highlight of our visit for MiMi! He got a cool motorized Ford truck from Grandma and Granddad and needed some of Papa's help to open his packages. He also got a neat remote control car from Great Grandpa Elmo and also got to see his friends, Trace, Garron, and Gavin, from Oklahoma. I hope everyone had a great holiday!

Parker's 2nd Birthday

Parker celebrated his second birthday with a truck themed birthday party. His neighborhood friends came as well as his grandma, granddad, Uncle Reid, Aunt Beth, and Uncle Ty Ty. He had a great time and got lots of neat presents. Here are some pics of the celebration.
